The story of Guru Bites began in 2013, when the creator of this funky Indian food truck spent his days lending a hand at his parents’ traditional Indian restaurant. Bored of the traditional cuisine that abounded at every Indian restaurant, he created and presented his own fusion dishes to his parents in the hope of implementing a change of menu and give the restaurant a cutting edge. When these efforts were denied – a new business in the form of a funky little food truck was born!
Guru Bites is a taste of India fused with western presentation, with an ever evolving menu that promises to serve a mix of truly authentic and creative Indian delights.
La Carreta began as a dream in 2014, when a Colombian-Australian couple threw caution (and their jobs) to the wind and spent a year travelling the globe. After some months in Colombia eating the food Juan grew up with, the decision was made: to open a Colombian–Latin American food truck in Perth. Back in Perth, La Carreta was finally launched in late 2016.
On board the La Carreta truck, original Colombian recipes are transformed into creations that suit the Australian palate, with the backbone of Latin-American flavours.
